Recent security programs implemented by the U.S. government will
play a critical role in keeping international shipping secure and
Evergreen Shipping Agency (America) Corp. has a tradition of cooperation
with the US Government on such Security issues. To-date the company
meets or exceeds all existing guidelines and standards established.
We are also willing participants in several test programs to determine
best practices. |
>ISPS
The International Ship and Port Security (ISPS) Code was established
by the IMO to set standards for ship and port security. All ships and ports globally had to be compliant with the ISPS codes
as of July 1, 2004. All Evergreen Group vessels were ISPS certified since May 31, 2004
in advance of the deadline by 1 month.
All EGA ports of call in North America are also fully compliant with
the ISPS Codes. |
>C-TPAT
Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) is designed
to facilitate the establishment of supply chain security programs
operating to or from the USA.
Benefits of C-TPAT compliance include access to the Green Lane for
rapid Customs clearance. Evergreen Shipping Agency (America) Corp.
and all principals have been certified since July 26, 2002 for our
original application and confirmed by the
Assistant of Commissioner of Customs on November 15th, 2002. Evergreen Line SVI#

>Operation Safe Commerce (OSC)
The Operation Safe Commerce (OSC) program was established by U.S.
Government to encourage private development of new security technology
and solutions to improve and better secure the supply chain.
Included in this program are technologies such as; Electronic Seals,
RFID Tags and various other tracking, tracing and locking technology.
Evergreen has participated in multiple OSC program lanes with various
supply chain partners. |
