The position is located at Jersey
City, NJ. Job responsibilities may include: - Supervise Port Captains
and Port Representatives. - Oversee and Troubleshoot
Stowage Plan using CASP software. - Coordination with Port Captains
and terminal planners regarding pre-load stowage plan, final stowage plan
checking and approval. - Ships schedule tracing,
monitoring and planning. - Monitor vessel operations
and gang structure, sailing time for any unexpected problems and delays due to
bad weather, accident, etc. - Hazardous Cargo booking
approval. - Coordination with
terminals for the labor gang order and confirmation, vessel move sheet checking
and approval. - Operation issues, Corrective
Action Requests and case study. - Oversee terminal routine
and miscellaneous job - Out of Gauge cargo
approval/arrangement including coordination with vendors/terminals. - Assists ships crew and
boarding agents with any issues raised by the Port Authority/USCG - Any assistance requested
by Marine Department regarding vessel matters/schedules/terminal
operations/local information. - Invoice checking and
approval. | |||
Job Qualifications |
|||
| Candidate must possess a Bachelors Degree or higher, must have Maritime and/or Terminal Operations, and Supervisor experience. Candidate must have Computer Automated Stowage Planning (CASP) system experience, and must have excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills. Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. | |||
Compensation/Benefits |

|
The starting salary is USD 90,000 - 115,000
commensurate with experience and qualifications. The selected candidate will become
