International Shipping/Logistics/Supply-Chain

The position is located at Evergreen Shipping Agency (America) Corporations corporate headquarters in Jersey City, NJ.

Job responsibilities may include:

- handle customer service

- trace bills of lading instructions

- key in, proofread, and issue bills of lading

- process cargo bookings

- communicate pick-up numbers to customers/brokers in a timely manner

- prepare tariff rules, rates, and service contract filings

- participate in pricing, and report performance of trades

- dispatch door shipments and coordinate with truckers to ensure timely delivery

- process invoices related to shipside operations

- update equipment status and activity

- trace overdue equipment

This is a union represented position and subject to a collective bargaining agreement.

Candidates applying for this position must possess a Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience. The candidate must exhibit strong verbal communication skills, computer proficiency, and must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. While no experience is necessary, knowledge of or an interest in international shipping and logistics is a plus.

The starting pay rate is USD 25 per hour.

Work Hours Normal business hours: Mondays to Fridays from 8:00am to 5:00pm, with possible flexible work schedule as arranged.
